Haptic Ear is a device that is developed for the dead and can perceive and distinguish ambient sounds. It collects ambient sounds and distinguishes them by their frequencies and then matches them with one of the pre-defined sound values by using sound processing algorithms. The relevant sound source is shown to users on the device screen and users are warned with its vibration feature. Haptic Ear is a project contest finalist.
